And while you’re enjoying the journey on the bus or MRT, don’t forget to also look out for unattended items as these create unnecessary inconveniences, disrupt daily activities and are a security risk. However, harmless ‘lost and found’ items are also often left behind, so you can help by:
- Being aware of security threats/individuals, but not overly suspicious
- Distinguishing suspicious items from non-suspicious ones
- Knowing what to do when a suspicious unattended item is found
- Informing security personnel or the Police of suspicious findings
- Assisting security personnel or authorities when a search is required
